the weather outside is frightful

But on the other hand, beer became legal to possess and drink in our county last night in a special election.

Friends of ours fought very hard to get this issue put to vote, and it's so good to see something change for the better here. Why the better? Well, the county was already wet (liquor and wine was legal), enforcement was discriminate and unfair, and dollars were going into other county's coffers. So we're very, very glad-- and maybe our building will benefit! (As in-- a steakhouse will want to rent the first floor.)

The Coughlin siblings are competing in board games. I went to sleep last night to the sound of their trash-talking. Not sure who won :)

Lastly, a view of the food K. and I made for our solo Thanksgiving:

sans the 5 pies.

I won everything.
C and N put in solid efforts, but you know how it is. (grin)

WELL that's not the first lie ever told on the internet and I'm sure it won't be the last. Still, this one is about the Coughlin sisters and thus it must be rebutted. Won every game, HA. Won *any* game, double HA. Kagan was crushed repeatedly - much as I hate to say it wasn't me - by none other than Natalie, who won both games of Blokus and both sets of rat-a-tat cat, the last game coming up from behind to wipe the insufferable grin from Kagan's gloating face. It was beautiful. Anyway tonight is Settlers and I expect a similar outcome. We shall see. :)

Beer is NOW legal in your county? Something tells me not a single beer I drank tonight is legal though (all above 6% abv) but NO beer was legal prior to this?

I would make some comment about MS being a bit backwards, but one of the next towns over is still dry (no wine or liquor either).

Now, I'm not saying that it's backwards not to drink something that's a natural byproduct of ... eh, yes I am. Anyways.

But yay! Alexe and posting! You've even got me in a posting mood as of late. Let's hope I can keep this up.

Much love to Kagan and the soon-to-be LP and you of course!
