Has anyone ever noticed how important place is to mystery series?
Hiassen and MacDonald, Florida
Chandler, L.A.
Sayers, Perry, Grimes, England
Penny, Three Pines, Quebec, Canada
and now Loomis, Provincetown.
All famous, justifiably so. And all with superb ability to convey place.
